trialsage
So-- with fuel here going up seemingly every other day now-- what about a West coas series ? We have talked about it for a long time now , but nothing ever gets done- maybe we should bite the bullet and "just do it" Say maybe a 2 day in SOCAL , possibly Ridgecrest ?-- we could make our Pits event that we put on in September at "Bear Valley " a 2 day event here in NORCAL into a round and if someone in Oregon (ishy??) was up for it we could quite easily have 6 really good rounds to kick it off with. With time maybe we can involve other neighbouring states on this side of the country , Who knows what we could do-- maybe in time we have an, east --west-- central series of events and just one nationaal a year reducing some of the expenses involved in the nationals as we know them .....? trialsurfer
It is a great plan---if you get support and cooperation from the other clubs!! Last year we did, but not this year! How do you Westerners assure the section difficulty is the same? Edited March 5, 2008 by trialsurfer
m lawson
Up here in Washington (Puget Sound Trialers) we heard rumblings earlier this year about a West Coast Series and were asked if we wanted to participate. We are happy to be a part of the series and we have an event that would work well. On May 3 & 4 we host the Columbia Cup in Goldendale, WA. It's a good central location for all of the Northwest clubs and the site of the World Round and Nationals in the past. It would be a good venue and we would be more than happy to have it included as part of a West Coast Series. The May date is cutting things pretty close for the World Round this year, but who knows. The offer is on the table, and our club is willing to be a part of it.
sirhc
We're again planning on having a two day at Ridgecrest in Oct. We would be happy to make it a Regional event, especially since my club is the one doing it
