ishy
Find an old barber chair, remove the seat and put a good plate where the seat bolted and pump her up
swooshdave
Do you have something like Harbor Freight over there? 1000lbs MC Lift I think I just saw it on sale for under US$350. A bit too much? How about one of these? ATV lift At less than US$60, how can you go wrong?
perce
These are available at several locations, best see one in the flesh though as quality varies. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Heavy-Duty-hydraulic...tem280208010913 If you're tight git like me get one of these. http://www.screwfix.com/prods/36354/Hand-T...-In-1-Workbench used to be fine with a Gasser on it but creaks & groans a bit with the 4rt on. Personallly I dont have the space for a big road bike type hydrualic work bench, and the scissor type stands are ideal for anyone without a lot of spare space. Yup, I used to have one of those Black and Decker Workmate jobbies for bike work...wish I'd repaired it instead of chucking it ..ooh my back!
