michaelmoore Posted September 13, 2008 Author Report Share Posted September 13, 2008 Hello Arie, If you need a piston there is a Wiseco piston for the early Honda MT250/CR250 that is commonly substituted. KT250 rod kits seem to be pretty rare these days, but you can use the later KX250 rod kit with a spacer under the cylinder (the rod is several mm longer). I can't think of any real problem areas in the motor beyond the normal wear items. A few people are making some replica parts and listing them at the KT/KX Page. There is some information at my website on porting and pipe modifications I've done to my bike. Two years ago I was planning on building a Honda CS90 trialbike, for which purpose I purchased a 1964 bike. Your website showed pictures of the Ken Ives S90 Honda which I liked very much. In the end I didn't want to change the original bike so I sold it on to another guy. After that I did explore your articles on the KT250. Kind regards, Arie. dgraf Posted October 18, 2008 Report Share Posted October 18, 2008 I was looking on here and saw the bultaco style muffler that had been installed on a kt250 on this site has anyone here tried this mod. I'm thinking about setting mine up this way looks like you would drop some weight and get rid of the side to side swing when riding in rocky or rough sections. looks totally kewl!
