gregp
Hi, my name is Greg and I recently came across a 2000 Beta REV 3 270. I have an extensive dirt bike background but the Beta is my first trials bike. Right now, I also own a 2000 DRZ400S and a 1996 Triumph Thunderbird Adventurer. I am looking forward to learning as much as I can about my trials bike and about the sport in general. Thank You for Welcoming me to this site! gregp
Thanks very much for the link, Trebor. This trials stuff is all new to me. I have been riding and racing dirt bikes my whole life but I have never owned a trials bike before. My friend did have a Honda TL-125 about 25 years ago and it was actually kind of odd because all of the kids in town started buying Honda TL's, 125's and 250's. Soon there were 10 Honda TL's in our small town and I was riding around on Elsinor's, MR 175/250 enduro bikes, and I eventually took to Husky's and KTM's! The next thig that happened was that everybody started trading in their TL's for Bultaco Alpina's! No, not Pursang's or Matador's, or even Sherpa's, but Alpina's. It was weird. Anyway, I kind of stumbled upon this REV3 and I really like it. I wish that the bike was quieter, but it sure is fun to hop around on. I live on a dead end dirt road that has a Jersey Barrier across it. I can't wait until I am skilled enough to hop over it! I hope to make it to some of the events in New England this year, especially the RI International event, so that I can observe some techniques and styles. Thanks again for the link!
