Thought I'd Gotten Over This 30 Years Ago

Hi to all, 3 months ago mentioned to the wife "would'nt a motorbike be handy for going to work rather than another car". When the reply came "yes, perfect and you could always use my car if you needed it", I had to clean up the kitchen where I had just spat my mug of coffee. Before a change of mind could be made, jeep sold, BSA C15 trials bought in UK and delivered to Ireland. I had the pleasure of working in a motorcycle shop during school/college which specialised in Brit parts, so have a bit of a background, but need a refresher course..Bit disappointed with the suspension of the bike but new oil in the front forks stopped the bottoming, and new Betor rear shocks ordered. PVL ignition already fitted, so some of the work done. Trails primary gearing removed by last owner but supplied, but will not fit as yet as have to use bike on road as well. Only 2 miles to work but Irish roads and hence the trials bike. Would like to know what options I have to replace forks without major surgery and also exhaust tappet adjustment screw taps the cover, probably holding valve open. Screw seems a lot longer than inlet side, any ideas as to correct length or part number so I can source a replacement. Also would like to fit lights but would need fork brackets as well as lamp, any ideas for something in keeping with the rest of the bike. Will be grateful for any advice assistance as not too many bikes of this type in Ireland at present. Rgds to all. Hav'nt seen how to post pics so cant forward as yet.
