millertee
Anyone got any info/suggestions on the ideal gearing for a 320 Godden Majesty? Current gearing is 10 front 44 rear. Rider weighs 14 stone.
jon v8
Kept on meaning to check what I have on my 250,(which is standard apart from the flywheel weight is removed.) tonight when doing fork seals and rear shoes I had a look. Its 11/41 - I did try a 10 on the front but it made first too low and second just didnt feel right. Not sure if this will help you with a 320 - never ridden one,but my 250 does all I ask of it,my riding ability needs to improve before the bike does. millertee
Thanks John, that makes your bottom gear a bit quicker than mine. I'm considering going up to 11 or 12t on the front to make 1st gear a bit smoother. Ages ago on the forum was a post from Sam B on the gearing of the factory Majestys. Wish I'd made a note of it!!
