daggs888 Posted April 30, 2008 Report Share Posted April 30, 2008 Normal paint, hammerite ect wont work, it will look a mess after the first time you ride. The proper thing to do is get them annodised by candy wheels or similar. The only other thing that will work and stick is waxol underbody paint (that thick black tar like stuff), after two coats, dry with a hairdryer for about two hours until hard. Then (the next day) sand them down with very fine paper then finish with a coat of clear laquer. The most important part of the job is in preparing the rimms, you need to make sure you have gone around with a degreaser and that the rimms are totally free of any dirt / grease / oil. Then its best to mask each spoke to make the job look right ..... its not easy but does work ! Annodising = approx Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
