Ever since I first saw the Husaberg Horizontal 4-stroke engine <LINK>, I wondered what it would look like in a trials bike chassis. So, I finally sat down with Photoshop, and made it happen. All in all, I think it could make for an interesting bike!

Now that is a really interesting conceptual set-up you have there. Is that scaled 1:1?

Although, the drive is on the opposite side to this image so you have been a bit sneaky there B)

:D But didn't someone (mick Andrews?) have a yamaha with a TT/XT 500cc 4t single in it for a toy ? Talk about torque !

But alas, the husi engine alone w/engine management components is probly worth more than a new beta 4t . marvelous bit of enginering though , I wonder how long the motors will last in the real world .

My imagination only goes to the limits of putting a injected xr400 engine in a fantic frame .... but the drive is on the wrong side , so I'd have to come up with a 200 rear wheel and hub , run a cable operated rear brake , and find some gears to work in the tranny .....

And the list goes on , If only I was really wealthy and bored ...

Only by eye, in relation to wheel size, etc.

Wondered if someone was going to pickup on that! Spent a while "sneaking" that in.

Do you think 450cc for a trials bike could be a little too much though :D

Probably so! But even then, somebody on here would be wanting the 500cc kit, I'm sure!

Darrell,

You obviously have too much time on your hands... lol.. nice work though..

rode this weekend with the 300 kit ..absolutely awsome ride.. the 250 is excellent and the 300 is just that touch for the bigger quicker approaching obstacles..

enjoy,

jr

Fascinating layout.

The link you had said that for 09 the drive is reversed to 'conventional', I assume meaning on the left side.

So,you have the choice of left or right, whatever you want to build on !

and the choice of 450 or 565 engines. Yikes, the old GG200 is too much for me......

Carb area could get ugly. The beauty of CAD, just scale it down until it fits....

At TTC Youth Nat's, maybe 5 years back, was a guy riding the loop with a Husaberg 4 stroke engine in a hand made frame of 1 inch square 4140 tubing. Looked rough, but it sure sounded unique. The only 4 stroke in the woods then.
