ythan
A couple of questions please. I have read on this site and on personal water craft etc, the merits of Boysen reeds . There looks to be three types to me . 1 of the three types which one will give better results on this 125 .? 2 is it woth the investment in these reeds on the 125? And finaly. Are there any files containing all the torque settings for shercos , on the net.? I need the torque settings for these components.(2003 Sherco 125) crankcase to barrel. exhaust to head reed housing to crankcase head to barrel. See discussion and links on pg 2 of this forum for torque values. I ran the Boyesens in 125 before and found them a little too soft and smooth off the bottom for my taste. Electric smooth and great for a beginner though.
ythan
Thank for the input here, the reeds sound like they will suit my needs just fine. One point i am not clear on is the type of reed, do i need the PRO or the RAD valve or what ? The discriptions i have read on these have not been aimed at trials bikes exclusively and seem a bit general.
wayne thais
Go to the sticky above and download the appropriate manuals. The setup and lubrication guide and the top end maintenance guide contain torque settings. The information is still current for the most part.
