loco
Hello all, I am a complete newbie to trials. Recently bought a 2008 4RT of which is great. Runs so sweet and had zero problems. On my Honda MX bikes I use a Scotts Performance stainless steel oil filter. I have found this oil filter to be the best you can get!! http://www.scottsperformance.com/products.php?PartType=3 My question is will an oil filter from a Honda CRF250 fit the 4RT ? Am I right in thinking the engines are very similar? Regards...
gizza5
Yes the engine is basically the same as a CRF250. I use Hi-flo filters and the part no. is HF116 they are a fraction of the cost than the original HONDA OE part.
loco
Have you seen the Scotts filter? Do you rate it?
motovintage
the scotts filters are ok but you should still replace them at least once a year, I personally don't recomend them, since paper filters are so cheap, it's my personal belief that you can't get them clean enough to use more than 5 times
