lingo75
Hi all, Has anyone replaced the white plastic sprocket guards with one of these? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-Montesa-315-4RT-...id=p3286.c0.m14 Mine look a bit tired and these would look great, just wondered if the lack of flexibility will be an issue, these will be super strong and shouldn't snap, but wondered if they need to be flexible?? jmlfin
I dont see any reason why you couldnt use the stiff ones. I have also thought of changing it but havent got the new pieces yet here.

tt5th
I replaced all my guards with carbon fibre ones and they've worked fine so far. My mate has them on his scorpa too and they've taken a battering with out breaking!
gii
Yep, I've had one on for the last 6 months or so, they look much nicer than the stock white plastic one but the lower edge abrades quite badly on rocks etc. I probably won't replace it with another, I think I'll try making one from 6mm wear strip - the sort of material those very tough chain tensioner blocks are made from.
