lloyds2 Posted June 29, 2008 Report Share Posted June 29, 2008 After 6 months of trouble free riding my sons Beta 50 Mini Trial will not run when back wheel in contact with the ground. If bike sat on the level on a milk crate so the back wheel of the ground the bike will tick ove and run ok. Any areas I should be looking at first. helloyes Posted June 30, 2008 Report Share Posted June 30, 2008 Hi have a look at the clutch as this drives the the bike, try some new shoes and a change of oil (ATF) seems to work best. Could also be the carb, my sons ran fine with a slightly raised tick over but would not pull with him on it on the ground ? Found out the carb had water in it after cleaning with carb cleaner and an air line i got the water out not as easy as it sounds, so take your time ! neonsurge Posted June 30, 2008 Report Share Posted June 30, 2008 I'm 99% sure that the engine in the Beta 50 is made by KTM (same as used in their 50cc 'crossers).
