geebee
I am about to start a clutch basket change out on the sherco, using a new basket and the installation kit. This involves the riveting of the assembly. Although I have previous experience of fitting solid rivets could anyone offer any usefull advice on the same and possible areas to avoid. Can this task be implemented using a rivet snap (dolly) or will I require some form of press? Thanks in anticipation - Geebee
zippy
I took the easy way and ordered it pre-assembled when I had to change mine. no riveting involved. Edited July 19, 2008 by ZIPPY
copemech
The parts book shows them as a 4mm diameter rivet. I would think you could set them with a common shop air hammer with a flat tool while backing up the end against an anvil surface. But, I have never had to do these specific parts. Maybe phone your importer for more info.
