dennisgr
I have a Honda TL125S 1976 with bad original shocks and looking for buying a new pair. Length center to center is 360 mm. At max 400 mm the rear fork touches the frame. Upper bush is
brian r
Hi Dennis. The longer shock would help if you were riding trials, the TL likes a steeper rake than stock. I think the 16 is quite a bit longer than stock. The Falcons are probably VERY close and I'd probably be looking for about a 15" center to center if it was me. I believe trail riding would be better with a bit stiffer spring too. Of the ones you mentioned I've heard the best comments about the Falcons. Word of warning. A friend bought the high dollar Falcons and bent the shaft the first day out.
dennisgr
Thanks for the input. 390 mm = 15.35" so sounds reasonable for steering behaviour. Does anyone have an idea of the damping characteristics to expect from NJB or Betor shocks? Classic or more modern less damped? What is the rod diameter on the Falcon shocks?
