the addict
Check your coolant, if its well low the fan may keep going as there isnt enough water to keep the cylinder cool, not sure about the cut off switch

windlestone
If the engine overheats there is whats probably best described as a ' limp home mode ' Bike will start and run fine up to 2500 rpm then rev limiter cuts in. Letting the engine cool down and the ecu returns to normal. Ride it, take your gloves off and feel how warm the fuel tank gets, then you understand why the fan is on so much
fellonmelug
Allegedly there is a NTC sensor that controls the fan, this could be the problem , Windlewotsit is correct in saying the fan is on a lot of the time .
shnaft
thanks for all your help i take it its nothing to be concerned about, i was used to my sherco fan cutting on and off all the time, therefore thought it wasn't cooling down
