motovintage
one usefull tip is to get gloves a size smaller than usual and stretch them to fit as you break them in, you may need a different grip, trials bikes come with a full diamond pattern that is a bit small for my hand, I use the half waffle, half diamond which seems to fit my hand a bit better, I'm using the Fly cheapy gloves and they seem ok, and don't bunch up in the palm, calloses are going to hurt with 6 hours or better of riding, try some different grips, different gloves untill you find something that works for you, when I was younger I never wore gloves for trials riding unless it was too cold, now I sweat a lot more and my hands get too slippery to go with out gloves, you may try gloveless for a bit and you may prefer going gloveless
tombo46
I think ill give riding gloveless a shot, it seems that the gloves do bunch up in the cracks in my hand which makes for more contact and compression on the caluses, the smaller glove Idea might work too. thanks again everyone. dan williams
On a side note be aware of what's on the gloves. I learned that the hard way setting up an event. After a few hours of moving slimy logs and rocks around I had a hand slip off the bars from contaminated gloves. All I can say is a one handed full throttle wheelie is way beyond my ability and it's bad when you hear both knees simultaneously make a loud pop. copemech
The gloves really should not bunch up. I really cannot imagine going gloveless. Even if I take the bike out for a quick spin in the back yard hand sweat will quickly kill grip, making hands work harder. I have run the XC-Ting gloves for the last two years, excellent, best I have ever had, thin palm and still hold up. I run the medium compound renthal grips. Just use the Hebo's for practice now!
