fivemeister
Flywheel weight removal (removes the over-run - more zippy - same traction) Trialcast rear brake boot protector (looks nicer - prevents wear on the
dan williams
See my threads on clutch modification and ignition modification. Also Vforce reeds http://www.trialscentral.com/forums/index....showtopic=18516 http://www.trialscentral.com/forums/index....st&p=138860 OH yeah also be advised that the Keihin tends to be prone to water in the pilot jet orifaces in the carb body. If the bikes starts running "not as sparky" as usual it's worth pulling the beastie out and blowing out the carb with compressed air as the surface tension will keep it from evaporating. gaz
Flywheel weight removal (removes the over-run - more zippy - same traction) can you give some more details on this please. I took a look at the flywheel because the chap i bought it off had retarded the timing by a couple of degrees, but I couldnt get the fly wheel off or the cross head screws out of the flywheel. I assume the cross heads coming out would let me use a flywheel tool while loosening the centre nut. Does that sound right?
stuessenhigh
Fivemeister....I couldnt agree more. I always take the flywheel weight off mine...much better I reckon. Also reckon the slow action throttle is better too.

Yeah thats right, the screws are really tight though i had to use an impact screwdriver, ive seen people use a grinder, its not pretty plus the weight is unuseable then if you want put it back on. fivemeister
The flywheel weight is really tight - try to apply some local heat to it (i used a blowtorch with a small nozzle and shielded the cavity to the electrics) then shock it with an impact driver or air wrench. Don't forget that when the weight is removed you can put the cover back on minus the plastic spacer which has the bonus of making the engine width smaller. fivemeister
try to apply some local heat to it Should have said - just to the two screws rather than the whole flywheel weight.

fivemeister
No. its just a hard plastic spacer - the outer cover is same recessed shape.
