beamish owners club Posted August 22, 2008 Report Share Posted August 22, 2008 I am running a semi-synthetic 10/40W in my RS250TA and suffering clutch judder and a very 'on- off' clutch when the engine is hot. andy m Posted August 22, 2008 Report Share Posted August 22, 2008 A common mod on the tlr engine is to run a CR 80 clutch. I have one in my 200 it was there when i bought it and I don't suffer the judder that I did on a Tlr I owned a while back. I have some Barnett Kevlar plates coming from the States but I am sure the correct oil must play it's part too. I had a brand new Beta 200 and the clutch was dreadful until I used Castrol SLX 0/30W. t-shock 250 Posted August 23, 2008 Report Share Posted August 23, 2008 I found that using semi-synthetic oil gave a slightly smoother clutch than full synthetic. However the best bet is to fit a different clutch as Bo said, from a CR80, or an RTL or i think from a CG125 too. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
