All of these factors can have a bearing on the recommendations. As you stated "all conditions even" will leave too much room for practical answers... assuming that's what you were looking for. Montesa, Scorpa and Beta are the best quality bikes when they are new and that holds true for them used. They all have good motors that have proven to be reliable, the frames are top quality and they use quality components. Just pick one of those three that is in good condition and suits your style. scorpa3 Posted August 29, 2008 Report Share Posted August 29, 2008 Most models have 'for and against's', for example the Rev3 is very well built but the '04 model suffered terribly with stator problems. The SY250 is a brilliant clubmans bike but a true Expert may be better on a Gas Gas. etc etc. Probably the best advice would be to choose by condition and budget. Buy the best bike you can afford and that doesn't always mean the newest. A well looked after 2005 is better than a tatty 2008 machine.
