The experience that we have long field trial in the field (on the fields of race and production) has allowed us to get to deliver an innovative project, far from the royalties that up to now have defined the idea of "trial by motion" .

The goal was reached with the EVO, English abbreviation of the word evolution, with results totally above expectations.

We have built a motion aiming to get the binomial "lightness and dynamism" to the state of the art. We did this project on the chassis. A new element to the current trial standards, around which we have established the EVO.

General features

Everything revolves around the new chassis, an aluminum monotrave capable of ensuring the maximum rigidity and lighter weight, which apart from being the backbone of the motion also acts as a fuel tank.

Another important aspect on which we have worked long regards the shift weight to the area of center of gravity and his own elevation to improve the dynamic behavior of the vehicle. Again, the results are striking.

The renewed cycle contributes greatly increasing the feeling of driving. In this case the "backbone" consists of a monoammortizzatore leverage with progressive center for the masses is compared to the longitudinal axis than the cutting of EVO.

The bike comes with plastic superstructure completely redesigned. Great attention was given to ergonomics and the containment of space

The new 290 cc engine capacity. 2T engine as its new positioning in the chassis, higher than previously considering all the displacements 2T and 4T.

The engines are equipped with 2T head decomposable, new electric generator with dual map and the new exhaust with the first room to expand.

4T engines are equipped with dual power map, the new exhaust silencer with three mechanical rooms combine performance and reduced impact sound.

Chassis

The innovative feature of monotrave aluminum frame with integrated reservoir appears in the configuration of the project, which has focused on a main beam made from extruded, which can accommodate gasoline, supplemented by forged front and rear side who complete the structure.

This configuration made it possible for the optimization of thickness and sections of the points of greatest stress (having calculated the frame finite element) by allowing us to reach targeted qualities of lightness, stiffness and minimization of space.

New fork and plate fork

The 38 mm fork is new. Born from an exclusive development in Beta-Paioli. The internal components is novel, is distinguished by the wide use of light alloys and advanced management for the effects of extreme hydraulic (rear), all contained in a very compact design and light weight (600 grams of weight savings). The operation is more progressive and sliding front suspension of any used previously.

Important and distinctive element is the aluminum plate fork, Superleggera (less than 150 degrees compared to the past) and Cavallotti handlebars with a single hinged attachment to facilitate and make more rapid maintenance.

New swingarm

The new swingarm, aluminum, which works through a system of progressive leverage. This important element was designed by R & D department of Beta with legs and extruded idroformate (process that shapes the piece through the water pressure) to ensure even in this case a proper distribution of thickness in order to reduce weight and improve rigidity .

We have already alluded to the new mono-shock with aluminum. Add with adjustable pre-spring and the brake extension.

Braking system

Even the rear braking system was designed from scratch for the trial EVO. In order to reduce the size and weight and at the same time allow the pilot to slow down more effectively and accurately. New are the pump and its attachment to the frame; grapple with the unprecedented new system of fixing the swingarm, the disc with a diameter of 160 mm

and finally the brake pedal.

Other technical details

The plate paramotor is more rigid than in the past thanks to the inclusion of platelets reinforcing the point of greatest stress, forged between the chassis and the same plate.

Completely revised level of electrical wiring.

The radiator is the result of a new study. Time has a different movement of the liquid to ensure greater efficiency cooler. The new bulb temperature mounted directly into the radiator.

The cash filter draft proposes a new concept, aimed at minimizing the pressure drop during the intake for maximum performance.

The wheels of the EVO are lightened with new aluminum nipples and pins alleggeriti with greater compactness bearings.

Engine

The choice of an engine capacity of 290cc is dictated by the search for greater versatility of use, both for the rider who seeks more performance in tendering for the enthusiast that search engines have great power and torque at low revs.

The propeller is positioned significantly higher than our

previous models to bring benefits to the dynamic behavior

medium, optimizing the position of center of gravity.

The group has been redesigned heat: the cylinder head is decomposable into two pieces.

The connecting rods and forged pistons are new. Result: -30% weight reduction for the masses subcutaneously and significant reduction of vibrations of the engine.

Double mapping

New generator with current pickup outside, with greater power and electric power programmable, with a switch to manage a double mapping (soft and racing).

Exhaust

Finally, the new configuration of the exhaust system that provides a first room expansion that combines best performance to a significant reduction of noise.

Availability

The marketing of EVO 2T is expected during the month of October. The EVO 4T will be available later this year.

I see they were thinking of you Kinell when they designed the new one. How many other bikes have got a waterproof cigarette carrying case?

What the feck is the awkward black box bolted on as an afterthought? All the electrics in there?

I think that is the cdi brain. Its there because they could not hide it under the tank as usual.

It just looks akward but then again so do I riding a regular bike. I would be interested to see how it rides when they come out. It looks like it needs a big pad at the top of the tank to protect the "Boys" from any sudden impacts. <about as political as i can be.

It sure looks like the carb (if there is one) is easy to service, overall it is a rather awkward looking bike when compared to the 2008 Rev3 which I think is a very nice looking bike. No mention of total weight that I could make out, and they still haven't worked out the kick starter location issue.

Spencer - I heard the weight was about 149lbs - as for the Kickstart - this is not an issue once you get used to a left side kick. - both the Bultaco and Ossa of yesteryear had this location. and Beta have used this configuration on the two strokes since way back in the 80's.
