My name is Jason and The 26incher stands for Old school BMX 26 inch bikes. I'm kinda well known in the BMX community as a total tard and I'm sure that will show here. I need some help with a project I have. I have a Honda TLR200 that I tricked out a little. I'm looking for the smallest size rear sprocket I can find. I thought I found a 42 tooth on e bay last night but today I can't find it! I would really like to find something smaller like maybe a 32, 34 or 36. Also, has anyone bumped up the front sprocket to a 14 tooth? With the cover, it doesen't look like there is much room? My goal is top speed. Right now the way I have it set up, 1st gear is way too low. I have to start off in 2nd and when I get to 6th I still think there is way more engine to gearing. I use the bike as a street bike not really a trials bike or trail bike. So my question is does anyone know where I can find a smaller rear sprocket. Any help will help. I use the bike as a street bike not really a trials bike or trail bike" No direspect 'the26incher' but your wasting your time. If you want top speed buy a Hyabusa. The gears are low because its a trials bike, its not meant to be ridden on the road like that. The 500 SXE KTMs are quite quick also Lee PS. Your homnda has about 15PS. If you gear it up a lot, thgap between the low triasl gears and the high road fears will be too much. Who really said he's trying to make it as fast as a hyabusa, Duh get rael mate it was an extreme analogy to push a point...ever heard of ANALOGY. He said he was not using it for trail or trials & wants to make it fast for the street. no ones cussing the guy, I'm trying to offer him some advice as he asked. sure use it for the street no ones saying he cant but to be helpful it is not the best bike for it. Lee has already made some obvious and helpful comments & I am saying the street wont compliment this kind of bike and what he's describing he wants to do with it wont feel very good on this bike. If you want to tell him it will be good, well that isn't being very honest or helpful get a bike for the job. And to the 26incher...I am not being rude mate or patronising, you might already know all this & if you want to continue thats your decision, but its a useless street bike however you gear it, Iv'e had two myself and scores of road bikes of all sizes to give you an honest opinion. Keep it for the trail/trial etc (even road legal trail) its a good little bike for that and far more enjoyable & look at road bikes, honestly a CG125 is faster in that environment and feels right for what it does or an dual purpose or enduro bike if you want to bring the off road look to the street. goodluck anyway. I changed the rear rim from an 18 to a 14. I shrunk the bike. I know some of you guy might not think outside the box but the bike now kicks ass. I put a YZ80 front end on the thing with a 17 inch rim. I know some of you guy are thinking I screwed up everything but I built the bike as a mini enduro. The bike rides very well. I droped around 20lbs off the bike and it jumps nice. I built a custom exhaust and it hits hard for a 200cc. All I was asking is if anyone knew where I could find a smaller rear gear for the TLR200. If someone else on this site is butchering a TY80, I'm not sure why the abuse inflicted on this TLR would be any different. And Fng , Try Sprocket specialists ! they have or can make Just about any sprocket you desire , for a price , or it may cross reference right out to a different model honda . But I must say making a super-motard out of a tlr ????
