erixon
I'm about to setting the sag on my gasgas 280 -03...and have some questions..... My weight is 62kg Is that a good weight for the standard springs ? My front suspension works great and i have 1/6 sag on it... To get the rear sag i have to use alot of preload on the spring....i only have 1/2 inch left to the bottom of the threads on the shock..... Is that bad in any way ?? Best regards Christian
charliechitlins
Stoodley has a good article on setting sag on the GG website. Your weight is right for the bike. I think it's common, though, to set sag on a trials bike at around 1/3. That could be why your preload is so tight.
zippy
I am new to the forum and would like to say HI. I am somewhat of a large guy (230 pounds) and I have a 95 Fantic section that I used to ride before getting the much better 2000 Sherco 2.9. The preload spring was set right up to the top of the threads. It seems to be performing just fine.
