spenser Posted September 18, 2008 Report Share Posted September 18, 2008 It is most likely that you need to replace the water pump seal and shaft, if you replace only the seal, it will leak again in short order. enrico Posted September 19, 2008 Report Share Posted September 19, 2008 Don't be too hasty....are you sure its not just ATF in the gearbox rather than 'oil'? Water ingress normally causes white emulsion in oil rather than pinkiness? Maybe others will confirm this. Certainly check the system but I wouldn't be rushing out to buy bits unless I had made sure. spenser Posted September 19, 2008 Report Share Posted September 19, 2008 The pink colour of your "oil" is water in the ATF that is most often used, and recommended by many for the gearbox/clutch. I have changed many of the seal/shaft assemblies on the Pro bikes as this would appear to be a weak point of the otherwise good engines.
