A lot depends on what rear shocks your running. I had Betors on mine for a while and ended up moving the forks up and down trying to get it to work (The Betors were slightly longer than standard).

At the moment im running 15mm stuck up, but i have done a bit of work on the springs and spacers.

Go to where ever you practise, take some tools with you and start off at flush and go up by 5mm at a time till you feel happy. As well as the rear shocks having an effect, your height, weight and the way you like the bike to work are all important factors.
