dabomb
Hi,whilst on my o4 290 yesterday, the bike suddenly boiled over.I had a quick look at the fan which wasnt running, but it started up when i reved the engine, but as the revs dropped to tick-over,the fan stopped. This continued for a few minutes, then the fan stayed on irrespective of the revs then went off when engine had cooled as normal, and i had no further problems. The bike was running as normal. Is this a sign of something about to go wrong?,any help woud be much appreciated Edited September 22, 2008 by dabomb

copemech
What you describe sounds as though the rectifier may be going. I would ck the connections first.
dabomb
What you describe sounds as though the rectifier may be going. I would ck the connections first. Thanks copmech. But there doesnt seem to be a rectifier according to the parts book. There is a regulator or a diode(which in spanish tranlates as rectificador).Could this be it??
