Hi there.

Just recently i have been having trouble with my right knee, i damaged it 5 years ago riding the Patland trial in dublin. i hit my knee of the handle bar bracket, ( i have an 05 scorpa, and they have the massive bulky bracket).

The pain in which i felt then is very much the same as the pain i am starting to feel now while riding and cycle for that matter. When i hurt it i never got it checked, but after about 5 weeks the pain dissipated, then just twinges of pain when i would do too much exercise, but this has become more common over that past few weeks, and i haven't been doing anything exasperating!

Would it be worth riding with a brace?? Anyone have any recommendations on comfortable ones to ride in ??

Cheers

Matt

If your in the UK your GP will probably tell you to stop doing whatever is causing the pain, and / or pain killers, not very helpful. See a sports injury specialist. Buy some plastic knee protectors, may take a little getting used to but preferable to the alternative.

Or wait until Billy replies...

No chance anymore, they're keeping me busy at hospital. Might need some victims for a research project though

Get it checked out by your Medical Practitoner, then seek out a Physio or Corrective exercise specialist to coach YOU through fixing it.

As you've ignored it initially I'd imagine you'll have a fair bit of rehabilitation to work through. Good luck
