madmostin
Hi there. I have a Gas Gas EC250. Great bike. The front brake is really spongy. changed pistons, seals fluid bled em down an bled em back and they still aint doing it for me. Oh and ive changed the wheel bearings just in case the wheel was deflecting. Disc is true too. The bike still stops really well but there is no feel at the lever. My next step is a master cylinder kit but does anybody have any experience with this problem?
danec250
how spongy is really spongy. can you pull the lever all the way to the bar? iv found that mine is spongy as well but thats compared to a trials bike. if you want to make it more solid you could try some new uprated braided steel lines. orange200exc
hi, did you get to the bottom of the spongy brake, i have the exact same thing except its ec300, ive bled and bled it, changed pads, guide pins, pad compounds. i was fearing the master cylinder was at fault but am unwilling to buy one if its not! i heard there is a front brake improving kit, something to do with a different banjo or something? oh and yes it will come right in to the bars cheers Edited May 4, 2009 by orange200exc
