slack Posted October 12, 2008 Report Share Posted October 12, 2008 Hi everybody, I'm would like to know what is the best gearbox oil to put in my 05 280 gasser.Some of my mates are using ATF but i'm not sure what is best.I used to use Motul 10/30 in my Scorpa sy would this suit the Gasser or is it to thick.THANKS. peterb Posted October 15, 2008 Report Share Posted October 15, 2008 Hi jsp, 500 ml is fine, any extra may exit out the breather pipe, not that it causes a problem though. slack Posted October 16, 2008 Author Report Share Posted October 16, 2008 Hi everybody,thanks for all your'e re-plys i have asked a lot of people about this.I phoned my local trials shop White Bros at Darlington & spoke to Al-the Spanner & he recomended i use Motul 300v fully synthetic. So i phoned GASGAS UK & they said this oil was ok to use.What AL said was that ATF was ok but with the gearbox oil lubing the mains they found the Motul to be the better oil to use.
