Yea, and it's a wonder we did'nt get just a close up of the tire , were you still using the fill flash in that one? It looks really good, without shadowing on the face or being too bright and unnatural. As there is some shadowing from the flash in the first one of Donna, you see. I would think it almost unavoidable considering the light angle in the shot. Makes her stand out , though! You see, for me, packing the D40 in a bum bag whild riding a course is enough, as I simply cannot manage an additional flash unit with tilt/bounce, just too bulky. I think the built in flash is quite good, yet there only seems to be a certain range that it is effective without being overpowering up close.
