jaan
Anyone know where to get fatbar mounts for Cota 348?
toofasttim
They should be standard Jaan. The 348's originally came with 1" bars.
peterb
Hi Jaan, I have a 1979 348 in the workshop, it has the original fatbars that I will replace with a proper set of Renthal's when I get around to it (It's not at the top of my bike rebuild priorities). If you are stuck for a pair of fat clamps then I may have some for you here. Let me know. Bye, PeterB.
jaan
Thanks TooFastTim and PeterB The original fatbars "Super-Akront Montesa" that I have is only 24 mm. As I know the modern fatbars are 28,6 mm. So the original 348 bar mounts are to small.
bigwig
Jaan. You need to cotact your fellow countryman Vesty Uk he stocks a set of clamps with secondary bolts in a slot that fit the holes on Montesa yokes for modern fatbars, I've got them on one of my old bikes,no problem. They are anodised light gold and I think are Apico brand. I think when they came they had a half round bottom section which I had to machine off, If you email me I will send you a photo.
