jaan
I don't like the original Cota 348 exhausts because it touches the muddy rear tire. Has anyone made or bought some smaller and lighter exhaust? If I'll make a new one, what kind of should be the composition of it?
peterb
Hi Jaan, Are you talking about the rear silencer (muffler)? You just need to bend out the mounting bracket so the silencer clears the tyre. I don't recall any riders changing silencers on these bikes, they were fine at the time, quite a nice exhaust note. Bye, PeterB.

Bye, PeterB. Yes, I mean just the muffler (sorry about my poor English). OK, I'll try to bend out the mounting bracket.
belldane
Jaan Do as Peterb says. Exhaust systems are extremelly hard to understand and you nearly have to be a rocket scientist to understand how they work for best performance. I know because I once tried to change a low down pipe to an under the tank type on a Montesa enduro I owned. The result was absosultatly awful. The enduro bike was great for trials riding, plenty of low down power but nothing on top. Just bend the bracket. Belldane
