wobbly1
I for one will be there. I went up when Lampkin beat Jarvis in 2002 in the final round and saw some very impressive riding. Just hope the weather improves I have copied (hope this is OK Andy) the ACU press release below. The event kicks off at 11.00 but the first lap takes ages; then you can't keep up with them. It's worth taking a mountain bike to get around if your legs will take it A.C.U. House, Rugby, PRESS RELEASE 24-10-2004. The Rochdale Motor Cycle Club again have the honour of staging the penultimate round of the Colin Appleyard A.C.U. 2004 British Motor Cycle Trials championship at Back Cowm Quarries, Whitworth on Sunday, October 3, commencing at 11.00am Current British Champion Graham Jarvis heads the championship entry list having missed the opening events because of world trial commitments. He has scored forty points and cannot retain his title which must go to Charnock teenage electrician Shaun Morris or Isle of Man veteran Steve Colley. Showman, and extrovert, Colley, a real spectator favourite, who heads the standings one point ahead of Morris. Colley has immense Back Cowm experience experience but Shaun Morris has the youth, the attacking ability, and he is current European Junior champion and has ridden all world trials this season. And the Charnock rider wants the title. Londoner Sam Connor is back after a shoulder injury and with MRS Sherco team colleague Jarvis could sway the title destination. The major threat could come from eighteen year old James Dabill who has shot to international fame in three months since joining Italian trials team T.T.T. Beta. He rides in Italy and has been taken by Top Trials Team Beta, the only British rider, apart from Jarvis and Dougie Lampkin, to enjoy mainland Europe sponsorship.
