I was told they were going water cooled.

NNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! ;) , the simplicity of the little beast is half the appeal, hopefully they will see sense and stay with a/c. surely water cooled will mean a change of frame and add more weight with a rad and pump etc, can't see any advantages at all.

Yamaha have a new model, the WR125R - liquid cooled. Bottom end looks like the XT125 and that of the Scorpa 125/200s. So maybe Scorpa will be using the new motor as the basis for their smaller bikes...The new Yamaha motor also has fuel injection, IMHO a quantum leap over a carb.

I contacted Nigel Birkett over christmas and he says there is an 09 200f. Apparantly its going to have the same spec as the 08!.

Im getting quite tempted to try one of these little beasts myself!

oh and happy new year everyone (in a few days)

Obviously some 08s left over. Only a couple of 125s left apparently. Was chatting at a trial today and they are not rushing to bring anything over due to the strength of the Euro. I would say 09 will see the last of the a/c. Yamaha moving to w/cooling they won't want to be stuck with a/c stock. :hyper:
