andy m
In conversation at a trial recently and I was told they were going water cooled. I know nothing but I know it's not the way to go. There is nothing wrong with a/c .
thespikeyone
I was told they were going water cooled. NNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! , the simplicity of the little beast is half the appeal, hopefully they will see sense and stay with a/c. surely water cooled will mean a change of frame and add more weight with a rad and pump etc, can't see any advantages at all. ian640
Yamaha have a new model, the WR125R - liquid cooled. Bottom end looks like the XT125 and that of the Scorpa 125/200s. So maybe Scorpa will be using the new motor as the basis for their smaller bikes...The new Yamaha motor also has fuel injection, IMHO a quantum leap over a carb. Was chatting at a trial today and they are not rushing to bring anything over due to the strength of the Euro. I would say 09 will see the last of the a/c. Yamaha moving to w/cooling they won't want to be stuck with a/c stock.
