eiger
Rode the Hipwell trial (John Hartle memorial) yesterday, a road trial around the Peak Forest area of Buxton, Derbyshire, not far from Gas Gas UK. Two laps of 25 superb sections in fantastic countryside (when you could see it through the mist) set out by brothers Andy and Kev Hipwell who both work at Gas Gas UK (and they both observed on the day!) The secretary was Jude Mellor also from Gas Gas who was the secretary for Manchester 17's 'Dead Easy' trial on Saturday afternoon as well. Other people were involved to various degrees and I apologise for not mentioning them by name. But for an importer to have such enthusiasts devoting much of their own time for our sport can only be a good thing not only for the future of trials but also for the Gas Gas marque. Top trial, top people. Eiger.
hrc2002
Very nice area in Buxton, drove though it at about 3am once on the way to Birmingham Airport (?) and its nothing but mists...cant help but thing of the ammount of cars that have proberbly drove off the edge in the night. Never rode a trial there though, but from things I have seen of it, it looks a great place to host one!
gasgasmonkey
This is exactly the point of supporting OFFICIAL Trials bike importers, which is always a good topic of conversation.Riders should support the Rathmells,Lampkins,Shirts,Crosswaites,Sandifords etc, because of the amount of effort that is put back into the sport by themselves and their staff. When these people have had enough where will you buy your bike and spares from ? Who will inject the cash and sponsorship needed to run trials? bikespace
But as they come from an EU member state shouldn't the prices be simular everywhere in Europe? Isn't that true of everything else we pay a fortune for! Yada yada yada.....I just deleted the rest. No point I'm still at work and the governments gonna get half, eventually At least I'm English - I'd live life even angrier if I was a Jock/Taff/Paddy, paying in to someone elses government. How are bike prices in Canada??? 34 months to go until we can up sticks and move. I want to marry a Canadian and make things easier to move but my wife's not happy with that..oh no, always putting obstacles in the way that girl

bikespace
Friends in and around Vancouver, also seems fairly healthy for IT market. No firm plans yet, we're planning a holiday in about 18 months to have a look around.
