shez_ow01
Hi I am new to this forum and trials in general, I normally ride enduro or rally raids. I have ended up here because; My eldest son (6 years old) moved up from a PeeWee to a Beta Mini trial, this meant his little brother (3 n a bit) could inherit the PeeWee. Unfortunately the youngest is very small and can not manage the PeeWee, then I spotted one of the 12.5's at a Surrey School Boys events a couple of weeks ago. It was 50/50 between putting up with the PeeWee or getting an Oset until I found this forum, reading back through the messages made up my mind we now have a new 07 12.5 being delivered for Christmas. This is either going to be magical or war as the Beta is too loud to be used at home.... Cheers Shez
motofire
I think you will be quite happy..... ANy questions just ask here. A few of us have done some "tinkering" and have found some pretty good mods.

jmck
We are a new OSET dealer and have been having a blast with the little things. Good overall quality, great dealer / customer support, I think you will be very happy with your choice.
shez_ow01
Thanks all, I'm sure the little un will be happy, he appears to be more into bikes either his brother or myself (difficult) I have noticed some of the mods on here and will certainly have to look into smaller grips for his little hands, I was going to rummage through my enduro spares box first to see if there is anything suitable in there. The importer is throwing in some 08 pegs for me so I don't have to look into that mod. One which nobody else seems to do and I have done to the peewee and Beta for his brother is an FM remote control kill switch. I like having the ability to kill the thing when I am a fair distance from them. as I understand it there is a key switch on the side, if that is a low ampage then I will replace that with a remote receiver switch, of course I will investigate the implications first don't want to blow anything by just shutting that circuit. Cheers Shez

Cheers Shez It has a speed dial, you can dial down the speed so your little one doesnt get too far.. whats really great is even when they fall over, no hot parts, they can pick them up themselves... With my two year old..going on three, I've never come across a situation where I would need to kill it.. touch wood..
shez_ow01
Cute little things aren't they! Arrived yesterday, built it charged it and tested everything works before hiding it. First impressions are it looks like it has been well made the pictures on the web do not do it justice. You're all correct those grips are a little to big and will need to be changed. Cheers Shez

mikedufty
I just got an oset 16. My 5year old is pretty pleased with his first ride, 3 year old says it is a bit scary (too big for him really). Is it normal for a pin to fall out of the charger plug? Still seems to charge OK, looks like the third pin was not used/not soldered to anything and it stayed connected to the bike when I unplugged the charger about the third time. The third pin doesn't do anything so you should be fine.. The other two pins are pos and neg.. they're what charges the bike. If it's still a concern, email or call Oset, their service is top rate! My charger was faulty and they supplied one F O C to me within a couple of days.
