hop blip and a jump
I'm freshening up the engine from my 87' garelli as been as it's never been touched since new, and not sure wether to have the cylinder replated or have a steel liner pressed in instead??? Originally the hiro engines have a plated bore!! What do people think about this???
totalshell
re plate... should set you back 100 quid plus price of a piston
bostit
I'm not sure where a liner is going to take you. I've just had two Hiro cylinders re-plated and although I'm slightly disapointed about the quality of the plating the fit of the piston and finish around the ports is spot on and it means the cylinder is as per standard. I let the platers have the piston and match the bore up to that. Has your piston turned up yet?
