slapshot 3
Thanks to Jeroni Fajardo who weems to have answered one of my questions.Did you see his bike p*ssing fuel after his fall? Why o why do Beta's do this and more importantly why dont they fix it? erm...if any bike had gone ar$e over tit like Jeroni's did last night I think it would leak fuel...it's simple physics, anyway didn't look like much more than a carbful and stopped dripping pretty quick.... boy has B*****ks that's for sure, that was a nasty crack he took
dell
my mate was out on his evo today, he went down a steep gully side and the front mudguard caught onthe front pipe and snapped the back section of the front mudguard off, not good for a bike less than 6 hours old. i cant belive that with all the testing the must have done this didnt happen. he also says that after washing off the bike the air box always has water in the bottom and no drain plug. jsp I put an 08 mudguard on mine. The new type just looks like trouble.

dell
No it's not, but it is if they keep snapping

dell
The other reason was the new one is cheap looking. No shine off it.
pinkbike
I must admit the new one did look a little cheap when I first saw it. I still have my original 06 mudguard with metal bracket and that looks quite big and sturdy...and shiny!
dell
Yeah needs a bit of trimming on the bracket and new holes drilled because the legs are closer, but handy enough to do. Sits a touch higher but that's no harm.
eddie_lejeune
dell i have an 08 mudguard on mine, and i must admit its a lot better looking as the colour matches the rest of the red bits
dell
Great minds and all that Well worth the bit of work involved. Anyone tried a smaller pilot jet in a 250 ?

pinkbike
From the factory, after the running in period, what modifications need to be done to the carb? I notice that when the bike is vertical petrol leaks from the overflow. Any ideas anybody?
outlaw dave
Pinkbike - Scroll back to page one of this thread - I listed how to fix your problem- however also check the float level as per the Beta UK service sheet.
