beatabeta
Hi all Just had my renewal through from Carole Nash and it has gone up I know that there are a few companies offering insurance for trials bikes but not sure who. Could you please advise who does insurance (other than Carole Nash) for road registered bikes?? Thanks

yoyo
I got mine through E-Bike insurance (v.cheap) but most companies will insure a road-reg'd bike (in my experience).
manx2day
Always gone through Bennetts. Very good and resonably cheap.

Cheers for this. Is this the case?? If it registered most places should insure it?? Normally get standard response 'not got that listed' Ta
fivemeister
Odd one here - despite having my rev 3 insured with EBIKE for a year, I tried to insure my new EVO and because the model wasn't listed on thier drop down bike selection menu they said they would look into it and later replied that they wouldn't insure it cos it wasn't road legal??? Despite my protests about its legality and that it was same as the rev3 they were already insuring me on - they said the decision was final and sorry?? The bike is registered and taxed. WTF? Anyone else had a problem insuring a new model?
john collins
I posted a week or two ago that MSM Insurance brokers offer a policy that will include road cover while you are on the highway in a Trial or Enduro. Not sure of prices etc - but at least you are covered. Most other companies ( in fact all I know of) are happy to take your cash, but then in small print you will find you are probably not covered if you are in an event - certainly I would check before handing over any hard earned to them. MSN is on 01279 870535 or Fax 01279 870636 If cost is OK it is good to support those who support us and have at least taken trouble to find out what trials are actually about - and not class them as " racing" Frankly if you have stumped up for a policy that excludes road cover when in a trial - you may feel you have paid for a worthless bit of paper - at least when in a competition
fivemeister
Thanks John. I like to insure my trials bikes fully comp so that I can use them to use short sections of road to local practice spots without resorting to a trailer - and in case the beast is stolen or otherwise damaged. Sherco arent listed by Bennetts in their drop down menu, Bennetts said they couldn't insure my Sherco when I rang them. I was telling the story at the trial and a friend said its under Bultaco Sherco which I think must be due to the original bike being called a Bultaco ? So I tried again under Bultaco Sherco and it was fine. Madness really Anyway I have now taken out a policy with MSN as described by John. bikespace
I just renewed with E-bike.
