dave dix Posted January 20, 2009 Report Share Posted January 20, 2009 Just purchased this old girl off ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=160309486913 and its a nice little runner after de-seizing the throttle valve and carb clean etc but my question is why does a 493 ty have a S bend type stand instead of the straight type ? tony283 Posted January 20, 2009 Report Share Posted January 20, 2009 Very simple.... it is Not the original stand for the Ty. The Ty250A has the stand on the left whereas the TY175 and (493) framed Ty250's have the frame on the right which is about 2" longer than the Ty250A. The Ty250C stand should be straight.
