betarob
hey there, I have an 09 gasgas 125 and recently it seems to be misfiring with no consistency. Most of time it will run absolutely great but then occasionally it will misfire through the mid-high rev range. It has had a new plug, the carb is cleaned regularly, and the mixture is set up correctly. What could be the problem? Thanks rob
b40rt
I would empty the tank and carb and try new fuel.
pandelboy
check earth wiring from cdi and if thats all ok try disconnecting the cut out switch as it could be tracking out to earth, could also be a dodgy plug cap, try one thing at a time and test the bike. b40rt
try one thing at a time and test the bike. Good advise, always remember " Whats the last thing I did" useful for identifying problems.

spinner
Check the ground wire that runs to the CDI box. It can pull out of the connector into the CDI box giving intermittent contact. You can't tell by looking, pull the plug and check all that all the contacts are even. Be careful when you reinstall the plug the grond wire is just long enough to reach. I have seen this happen to one 08 125 and to me on an 07 300 after removing the light harness
