andrewwww
Rode schoolboy trials on my Yamaha TY175 and a Beamish RL250 Suzuki aged 12 ~ 16, at 16 got a road going 50cc and left trials behind in 1984. Then came back to it in 1989/90 with a Yamaha TY250 mono and did a couple of years then totally gave it up UNTIL 3 weeks ago when at home minding my own business watching Discovery channel on sky people trials riding on Petrol Heads and for some unknown reason something in my brain went DING I want to do that again, so after trawling through the Auto trader ended up with a Gas Gas `04 280 Pro for what I thought was a fair price. After not much discussion with Her indoors I came home at 11.00pm after a 230mile round trip with the bike in bits in the boot of my Mondeo and she is now talking to me again after 3 days (the peace was wonderful) so now all I need is all the clothing, tow bar, bike rack etc etc wow it never ends. So hope I've done the right thing because at 41 yrs young I hope I ain't too long in the tooth to do this again or I will never hear the last of it from her!!! cleanorbust
Welcome back to the fold! At 41 I'd have thought you were still a mere stripling. Might be interesting to see if we can establish the age of the oldest regular trials rider in the country via the Trialscentral membership. Obviously we're talking people in their seventies at least. Any suggestions to kick it off?
