4ourtea
The Wiziard from Wales is right about ATF being possible. I also found that Silkolene Light Gear Oil 75sae was a very good oil in my 315. There was a little clutch stick once started up and cold, but soon freed off, and as the engine warmed, this sticking went and the clutch was fine with no squealing that you can get on other bikes. lingo75
Should i try and get a fully synthetic one - 75W??
tt5th
PJ1 works well for me, cheap enough and easy to find. Im my opinion DON'T use Castrol MTX I think it is, I put some in last week and it took about an hour to warm up enough to get rid of the clutch drag. widrace
Martin Belair suggested Mobil One synthetic or PJ 75w clutch tuner if you don't go with the ELF. We have used the Mobil stuff across four teambikes (315r's) since 02 without issue. Cheers

tt5th
And the only people i know who sell it are bvm wheras if i forget (which i often do) and need some in a hurry, PJ1 (or ATF I suppose) is available over the counter at 3 motorbike shops within 25 miles. (and 25 miles is good for me as i live 10 miles from any 'town' of sorts!) Edited February 1, 2009 by tt5th
