Hi All, I was wondering does anybody make a workshop manual for Gas Gas bikes the likes of Haynes or is there somewhere or someone that can tell me the torque wrench settings for a `04 280pro for such things as the fork clamps, head bolts etc etc.

TIA guys

Don't forget that whatever you are tightening the bolt into makes a difference to the torque settings, alloy parts can easily have threads stripped by over tightening. Also oiled/coppaslipped/waxed bolts also require a different torque setting.

Sherco USA has a guide on general setup and lubrication http://www.shercousa.com/pdfs/sherco_setup...ation_guide.pdf

Just checked some of these against a 1970s Sherpa and the specs are roughly the same.

I tried to upload one of the Metric/SAE torque charts I made, but the software deemed me unworthy.

Use the 2006' Pro owner's manual at: http://www.trialspartsusa.com/manuals/eng.pdf and you'll have the Metric chart. The 04' manual does not carry the torque values for some reason, but you can also download the 2004 manual for the usual settings for your bike.

Cheers.

Jon
