4stroke
Very strange but my tlr250 developed a very lumpy tick over after my last trial. Sounds more like a 8T than a 4T. I have cleaned carb and put in a new plug. (Still same) Swapped carb and flushed tank etc (Same). Swapped entire electrics (Same). Checked all timings. (No joy). I am starting to feel a bit stupid now. Any ideas?

4stroke
Lots of compression, valve clearances correct!
tsr22b
Perhaps we could have a bit more info? How does it run above tick over? If it runs ok above quarter throttle i would suggest having another look at the pilot jet, also disconnect the kill switch just in case it is shorting out. Air filter clean? And finally, and sometimes the least obvious, try a NEW spark plug.
4stroke
Seems ok above tickover and checked pilot circuit a few times, it's as if the choke is on, but it's not. Air filter clean and new plug!
jon v8
How much work has the engine done since it was last rebuilt/checked ? The TLR250 I had new in 1986 used to mess around at low revs, alot was to do with the cam chain being very slack and that the cam was a very loose fit in the head - but it was fine when revving. (Honda paid for a new head, barrel and piston etc - even tho it was 9 months old and no warranty was implied when I bought it.)
