I Got my stator coil re-wound put the bike back together with correct timing markings, it took ages to start when i got it started it gave kick back i then put it into gear and the bike was runing backwards so cheked woodruff key and timing again (all good). Tryed it again but no luck i even tryed retaring the timing a little but still the same. Dont have a clue what else to do!! Any help would be very nice Thanks Jorge. the addict Posted February 4, 2009 Report Share Posted February 4, 2009 Jorge, take your handlebars off and mount them on the rear mudguard, you'll be going the right way then with the added bonus of the kickstart being the right side of the bike Think youve got your timing way out mate, did the stator go back on in the correct position? stork955 Posted February 4, 2009 Report Share Posted February 4, 2009 Gday all, Hmmmm interesting - it sounds as your source coil may be connected backwards. Have you checked timing with a light? Mark TDC on the flywheel and get your mate to kick it over while you have a look and see whats going on.
