andy.t
I'm thinking of fitting some new shocks to my TY175, mainly to raise the rear a little to try and improve the steering (360mm length perhaps) has anyone got any advice on what shocks would do the job, I was thinking of perhaps Falcon.Betor,or Hagon. and I'm not sure of what the best spring would be 40 or 50lb for my 12st weight. Any advice would be appreciated.

ducman
Yes i agree with feetupfun, put Falcons on my Ty 250 last year before the Jersey 2 Day and it felt like a new bike. Chrs:Mike
andy.t
Thanks for the info, have you any views on the length of the shocks with regards to trying to improve the steering, I was hoping that the longer rear shock would push the back up and change the angle of the forks enough to try and stop the problem of the front end sweeping away. As a last resort I might try and alter the steering angle (cut and re-weld job) but this is a bit drastic.
ducman
Well you can use 340 and 360,both are ok.But i would go for 340. Chrs:Mike
trialsmm
I purchased a pair of 340 Betor gas shocks from Sammy Miller, converted to a set of TY250 forks (ebay) and now my TY175 turns great!
