2shock
I know it sounds a bit of a dopey question, but can someone tell me how the choke operating mecanisim works on the '08 Beta's? There's a knurled screw that seats when wound in (clockwise) but can then be turned anti clockwise forever! I could fiddle and work it out for myself, but it would be nice if a current owner would just be kind enough to tell me? Thanks
neil king
pull up to choke push back down for off. no turning needed.
anotherfive
The knurled screw is a mixture screw, leave that alone. The choke is a black lift up piston on the wrong side of the carb hidden by the exhaust
2shock
Ah! that explains it. Problem i've got now is i've been fiddling with the mixture screw whilst looking for the choke! I don't suppose you know the setting for the mixture? Thanks again
anotherfive
Screw it in to stop then back it out one whole turn, if nothing else has been altered ie jets and needle and reeds it should be a good starting point. I think there is more info on beta uk site.
