Seen this for sale a 350 Gas Gas, can anyone give any advise on it. Model/age/good/bad etc What are the late 80s mono TYs like? Anyone know of any trials areas near Wigan/northwest to practice? timp
Not the ideal beginners bike. Find something 250cc max. Any make will do. Old ty is an excellent starter bike.

I agree, a mate of mine bought a 350 Contact as a first bike some years ago and it nearly did for him! He's still got the scars to prove it! You won't go far wrong with a tidy TYmono, although it's best to try and get a disc brake one if you can.

dave dix
TY mono's are a nice mild ride and ultra reliable with a very strong 6 speed gearbox and air cooled with spares available Dave
lingo75
Try and get a 99/200 Montesa 315 or a Beta. From what i have read and listened to they seem to be best for beginers as they are a good ride and the most reliable/snap proof of that era - which is good for VFM. I bought a 99 Mont for
