bigwig
Certain seal damage or wear of seals in master cylinder. Fit repair kit. You can test it by putting the back wheel up on a bench or block and it is an internal leak between the seals.
theshercorider
I had this exact problem today and ruined my ride, I have been told that my disc is warped so if I were you I would check it it flat.
anotherfive
Cheap things first. Remove pads and enlarge the holes with a round file. Also clean the bolt shaft that goes through. Copper grease and test again. This has always been the problem for me nothing more serious.

airfruit
I had the exact same problem with my 08 beta when I first go it. the brake disappears here and there... almost killed me downhill one time. Anyways, I actually didn't have to change anything to fix it. I just made sure everything in the system's tight, forward bled the brake, tap the brake line with a wrench while operating the lever to make sure all the air bubbles are out and FILL the brake fluid TOTALLY FULL. I put more than I need in to the reservoir and capped it. Pushed some fluids out while I did this which means almost no air in the reservoir. For some reason, its magically fixed and I haven't had a problem for the past 4 months. Nothing else I tried before worked. My beta dealer tried to fix it too and it still did it after I picked up the bike. So bleed it and make sure reservoir is 100% full. NO AIR ALLOWED hehe.
